Hatikva Initiative 2009

April 29th, 2009 – Live Hatikva to Air Across America and Around the World on JLTV

On Wednesday, April 29th beginning at 10:50PM Israel time, communities from around the world will join together to sing Israel’s national anthem Hatikva (The Hope). Broadcasting from Tel Aviv, the Mayor will join with over 100 young adults celebrating Tel Aviv’s 100th Birthday and the 61st birthday of the State of Israel. The event was launched last year on JLTV International through the efforts and creativity of one of the network key executives, Galia Albin. She will also participate as host of the event from Tel Aviv. Last year, Live Hatikva broke the Guinness Book of Records for the number of people singing a national anthem in unison.

Live Hatikva was broadcasted around America, including Time Warner Cable, Channel 120 in New York and New Jersey and on the Internet streaming live at www.jltv.tv



Part of the exciting broadcast was last year’s popular version of hatikva, sung by popular French singer, Francky Perez.
